This session will bring together key partners from across the country to explore opportunities for collaboration in supporting individuals with brain injuries within behavioral health systems, particularly through Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHCs).

Overview of Brain Injury in Behavioral Health: A discussion on the role of brain injury as a chronic condition and its overlap with behavioral health, setting the stage for deeper engagement.
CCBHCs and Brain Injury: Learn about the CCBHC model, funding mechanisms, and how these clinics can better serve individuals with brain injury, with a focus on screening, case management, delivery of training for clinical and non-clinical staff, and service delivery partnerships.
National Landscape and Challenges for CCBHCs: A look at the current focus areas of CCBHCs, including their approach to supporting individuals with criminal legal system history, housing insecurity, and intimate partner violence (IPV).
State Examples and Collaborative Strategies: Hear from several states about their work integrating brain injury considerations into behavioral health settings and explore strategies for collaboration across systems.
This meeting will provide an invaluable opportunity to discuss how we can better integrate brain injury screening and community supports within CCBHCs, and how state brain injury partners, Medicaid teams, and CCBHCs can work together to improve outcomes for individuals with brain injuries.
